Research findings released today (13/09/2011) show that the FE Sector has come a long way in how lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) learners are treated in Further Education.
The research was commissioned by the Skills Funding Agency and the NUS were involved as part of a project steering group.
Early results show that there is much to celebrate in adult learning. The research nonetheless recommends changes that should create a more equal and inclusive environment.
